Dwyane Wade’s Ankle Injury Not Considered Serious

DWade assured the fans and media that the twisted ankle suffered during last night’s All-Star Game was no big deal, and that he’d have been back in there had it been a meaningful game. From the Palm Beach Post: “Dwyane Wade won the MVP award in the 2010 All-Star Game in Dallas. His night in Los Angeles didn’t go nearly as well. He had his pocket picked twice by Kobe Bryant in the first half and, in the second, turned the ankle that has bothered him since first turning it in Boston last Sunday. So he left with 14 points and four rebounds. But he said it wasn’t serious. ‘It’s the same thing I did in Boston, and I finished the game,’ Wade said. ‘You know, it’s the All-Star Game. I didn’t want to push it, and I knew Pat Riley and Micky Arison didn’t want me to neither.’ Especially when they’re in the building? ‘Especially when they’re in the building,’ Wade said.”
