The NBA’s greatest coach is staying put in San Antonio for a few more years.

Gregg Popovich inked a multi-year deal with the defending champion Spurs, according to the team:

The San Antonio Spurs today announced that head coach Gregg Popovich has agreed to a multi-year contract extension. Per club policy terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Gregg Popovich has agreed to a contract extension, Spurs say in release. I had been told he was eager to coach another 4-5 years.
