Grizzlies, Zach Randolph Nearing Contract Extension?

Word out of Memphis is that the Grizz are looking to lock up ZBo before he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Commercial Appeal reports: “The Grizzlies and Zach Randolph had serious contract negotiations over the past week, and they continue to discuss the framework of a four-year deal that could be finalized soon. Randolph’s agent, Raymond Brothers, and Griz general manager Chris Wallace confirmed they are moving closer to a deal that would keep the gutsy power forward in Memphis beyond this season. After months of not talking specifics, the Griz recently presented an offer to Brothers, who described the talks as constructive. ‘I think they’re serious,’ Brothers said of the Grizzlies’ intent to sign Randolph. ‘I’m optimistic we’ll get something done.'”
