James Harden Making Lifestyle Adjustments for New Role

As the go-to-guy in Houston, James Harden must carry a significantly increased burden, and the 23-year-old knows he must take better care of his body. From the Houston Chronicle: “Guard James Harden was named Monday as the Western Conference Player of the Week, but he had to put in some work to earn the first weekly honor of his three-year career. Harden averages 41.7 minutes in his first chance to be his team’s primary option. He said he will have to get accustomed to that pace. ‘I’ve got to lock down and take care of my body and make sure my eating habits are good and that I’m getting rest,’ he said. ‘It’s still basketball, but it’s more than I’ve been playing, and the role I’m playing is different from what I’m used to.'”
