The Brooklyn Nets are looking for a new head coach. One potential and unexpected candidate for the gig is Jerry Sloan, the guy a lot of people believe Deron Williams drove to quit in Utah. Sloan, who is looking to get back into the coaching game, tells CSNNW that he’d be happy to team up with Deron again: “According to Mike Mazzeo of ESPN, Williams would welcome Sloan as his coach, again. Nets General Manager Billy King has yet to reach out to the Hall-of-Fame coach. And if he did so, Sloan isn’t against the idea of coaching his former All-Star point guard. ‘I’m open, I would listen,’ Sloan said. ‘I haven’t done the research on their roster, but I would definitely listen if they called.’ Already linked to the Milwaukee Bucks Head Coaching gig, Sloan admits he’s interested in getting back to roaming the sidelines, but only under the right circumstances and conditions. ‘According to reports, I’m interested in every job that’s out there,’ Sloan said. ‘That’s just not the case. I don’t like being linked to every opening. If the right situation presented itself, I will look into it.’”
