This, without a doubt, is one of my favorite MJ games of all time. Ignoring the fact that it took place when I was all of 3 years old, it has always been very special to me. The 63 that “God disguised as Michael Jordan” hung on a great Celtic team in the ’86 Playoffs gets all of the pub, but his performance in game 1 of that opening round series is more fun to watch.

What’s amazing is not just his ability to fly, but the quickness he possessed. Dennis Johnson (RIP), one of the greatest defenders of all time, had no chance whatsoever of staying in front of him.

(And to those who claim that Mike didn’t develop a back-to-the-basket game until late in his career, check the insane fallaway at about the 1:50 mark of the video.)

Anyway, enjoy.

(Shoutouts to hoopsencyclopedia who has been uploading classic MJ games onto YouTube. Dude’s got an amazing collection that you could easily waste an entire day on. Believe me, I have.)
