There was some heated trash-talking between Russell Westbrook and Michael Carter-Williams Friday night, in the OKC Thunder’s 103-91 road win against the Philadelphia Sixers.
Westbrook had the upper hand in the battle of the floor generals, posting 27 points and 7 assists (compared to MCW’s 16 points and 14 dimes.)
Kevin Durant thinks his teammate was especially motivated by the young fella’s words.
Per The Oklahoman:
Kevin Durant on MCW chirping at Westbrook: "I think (Russ) put him in his place. Let him know who the best point guard in the league is."

Russell Westbrook on MCW's trash talk: "That’s kinda how I play, that’s what I do. If that’s what he wants do, good…They lost."
