Knicks Sign Tyson Chandler, Waive Chauncey Billups


The New York Knicks’ frontline just got a tremdenous boost, and their point guard play will be considerably worse in 2012. But they’ll be a fascinating squad. From the NY Times: Knicks trades are complete. It’s a 3-team deal w/Dallas and Washington. NY sends Turiaf, 2013 2nd-rd pick and cash to Wizards. Knicks acquire Chandler, plus rights to Ahmad Nivins and Giorgos Printezis. Mavs get Andy Rautins and protected 2012 2nd-rd pick from Wiz. Also official now: Knicks waive Chauncey Billups under amnesty provision.
