Kobe Bryant Will Appear on ‘Extreme Makeover Home Edition’

Prepare to watch Kobe make families scream and cry on television after getting their houses rebuilt. From the LA Times: “According to a post on the UC Irvine athletic department’s Facebook site, Bryant plans to appear on an episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, during which he will help coordinate rebuilding efforts for residents in the Joplin, Mo., area. A reported 160 people died from a tornado that swept through that region on May 22 and has been considered the seventh deadliest in U.S. history. It remains unclear when filming will take place. But Michael Izzi, UC Irvine’s athletic director, posted on the athletic department’s Facebook page that the first 2,500 to arrive at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bren Events Center will qualify as extras for the episode. Anyone who also donates at least two articles of new or used winter clothing will be entered into a raffle for the chance to play Bryant in a one-on-one game much like the way he did this summer with rapper Bow Wow.”
