LaMarcus Aldridge Burns the Nuggets With 39 points and 11 Rebounds (VIDEO)

The Portland Trail Blazers improved their record to 14-4 Tuesday, thanks to a big night from LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez’s unexpected heroics.

Aldridge dropped 39 points and ripped down 11 boards against the Denver Nuggets, in the 105-103 comeback road victory.

Per The Oregonian:

Aldridge found Robin Lopez under the rim with the clock ticking under four seconds and Lopez calming bank in the game-winning lay up to give the Trail Blazers a 105-103 victory over the Denver Nuggets. […] “I think everybody in the arena thought I was going to shoot it if I touched it,” Aldridge said. “They played me aggressively, I threw it RoLo and he finished it.”

“He carried us not only with his jump shot,” Blazers coach Terry Stotts said of Aldridge’s big night. “But then late going to the post, getting to the free throw line. He was good all night.”

“I was in a good rhythm. We just kept them in pick and rolls and my shot was there in the pick and rolls” Aldridge said. “The guards, (Damian Lillard), and (Nicolas Batum) and (Wesley Matthews) would penetrate and they would find me open on the perimeter. My teammates were just trying to find me early and I was just trying to make them pay.”
