It’s official: the Blazers are beyond cursed. The Oregonian details the organization’s latest bit of horrible luck: “LaMarcus Aldridge was held out of practice because he didn’t complete his physicals … which seems odd being as he was here all week … LaMarcus Aldridge will miss at least a week after heart test reveals another episode of Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome. Aldridge missed the final 9 games of his rookie season because of the syndrome. Wolff-Parkinson White Syndrome is a rare disorder that involves irregular heartbeat. Aldridge had an electrical procedure today, the same procedure he had as a rookie.”
“Blazers determine center Greg Oden has suffered setback, and restructure his one-year deal for a lesser amount. Oden on Thursday was examined by Dr. Steadman in Vail, and said he was given the nod to expand his activity, indicating he had made progress. But the Blazers, who didn’t comment Thursday after his appointment, determined that he is less likely to return to the court this season. Oden’s setback is with a non-weight bearing ligament. He has no symptoms and doesn’t feel restricted, but there is concern with the fragility.”
