LeBron James Expected to Make Decision Before Flying to World Cup Final

Here’s the good news: the planet might be able to catch the World Cup final (Germany vs Argentina) in peace this Sunday, as LeBron James is expected to have at last reached The Decision, Part Deux.

James flew back from Las Vegas alongside Dwyane Wade to Miami Thursday night for a pit stop — what does it all mean?! — before he jets off to Brazil this weekend.

In the meantime, fans, players, front-office execs and the media will continue to lose their minds with anxiety. Per the Akron Beacon Journal:

James’ camp contacted police and asked for extra security around his Bath Township residence, according to Beacon Journal sources, because an announcement was expected Thursday night.

That announcement never came, however, and a separate source with knowledge of James’ camp insisted Thursday afternoon that no announcement was planned.

Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic called James on Thursday, wished him well and offered his support, the city of Akron wrote on its official Twitter account.
