Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol confirmed that he agreed to a five-year, $100 million extension with the organization during a Tuesday press conference in Spain. (The big fella also informed his fellow countrymen that he won’t be representing them at EuroBasket this September, opting instead to rest.)

Gasol never intended to leave Memphis, and admits that he’s astonished by the richness of his new deal.

The big fella is now turning his attention to star point guard teammate Mike Conley, who reportedly turned down the Grizz’s attempts to re-sign him this past season.

Conley will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
