Mark Cuban On Free Agency

Eddie Sefko reports that re-signing Dirk Nowitzki is the Dallas Mavericks No. 1 priority this summer.  His co-worker Sean Meehan has more Mavs news, via Mark Cuban’s mouth: “With the July 1 beginning of NBA free agency approaching, Maverick owner Mark Cuban took some time to address the draft, the future of the team, and of course, free agency…On the big-name free agents available this offseason: ‘I can’t talk about any free agents, but I can tell you that I plan on doing something.’ On bringing in younger players: ‘The focus isn’t so much on bringing in younger or older players, we just want to bring in basketball players. It certainly didn’t hurt the Celtics.’ On Roddy Beaubois playing more minutes next season: ‘That’s what coach says, and I’m all for it. He’s already shown that he can do a lot and he’s been working hard, so hopefully he can keep getting better.'” It appears Cuban’s learned from his mistakes and doesn’t want to get hit with another tampering fine.
