Markieff Morris: ‘My Future Will Not Be in Phoenix’

Still unable to deal with the fact that the Suns traded his twin brother Marcus away, Markieff Morris continues to tell anyone who will listen that he wants out of Phoenix.

He posted a seemingly unprompted message on Twitter Thursday night restating his desire to play elsewhere.

The Suns, meanwhile, are trying to keep things calm until a trading partner emerges, and even wished the unhappy baller a Happy Birthday earlier this week.

Awkward …

Per the AZ Republic:

The tweet may not seem like a huge deal, but not every team publicly wishes a player happy birthday. In fact, Manchester City star Yaya Toure was so upset last year that nobody from the club wished him a happy birthday that he considered leaving the club.

The Suns definitely did not make that mistake.

Markieff has been predictably absent from unofficial team workouts in Phoenix, but the Suns really are trying to patch things up with their disgruntled power forward.
