Matt Barnes Says 2015 Was ‘Hands Down The Worst Year of My Life’

Matt Barnes had a difficult year in 2015.

From not seeing eye to eye with Doc Rivers and consequently getting traded, to confronting Derek Fisher at his ex-wife’s home to ending the year on a two-game suspension, the Grizzlies forward is looking forward to a turning over a new leaf in 2016.

In an instagram post on Friday, Barnes aired out his feelings on the past 12 months, calling 2015 “the worst year of my life.”

Below is an excerpt from Barnes’ IG post, in which he mentions Fisher, Rivers, the Clippers, his ex-wife Gloria Govan and Rihanna.

2015 hands down was the worst year of my life!

Lost the women I loved, the mother of my kids, my Dogg. I had to walk away from the only thing I’ve wanted, MY OWN FAMILY! “They call that karma”

To being traded away from a team & city I love! “They call that the business”

Being stuck in the “triangle offense” w my ex & snitch, I mean former teammate & friend.. Who went behind my back, messed w my ex, got caught, got dealt w for being a snake, then ran & told the Police & NBA.. Instead of taken that ass whoopin like a man & kept it moving….!

Lesson Learned! This is for all of you who had a F@#%ed up year… To let you know I’m right there w you, We In this together!
