After losing Caron Butler to free agency, the Mavs look like a good fit for Vince. He’d come off the bench and provide some scoring for a deep Dallas team: “Sources tell ESPN that Mavs closing in on signing of Vince Carter and could have deal to reunite VC w/Jason Kidd done as early as Saturday. Carter waived Friday by Phoenix so Suns could buy out his $18 mil salary for $4 mil. Mavs quickly into advanced talks w/ VC for vet depth.”
