Miami Heat ‘Hopeful’ About Dwyane Wade’s Bruised Left Knee

Dwyane Wade sat out last night’s Heat victory over the Sixers, and his coach says he’s feeling hopeful about Wade suiting up for the showdown on South Beach against the visiting OKC Thunder tonight. Per the Miami Herald: “Guard Dwyane Wade received treatment on his bruised left knee Tuesday after being scratched from the Heat’s lineup an hour before the game. Wade irritated his knee against the Boston Celtics on Sunday and is expected to be a game-time decision for Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. When asked if Wade was probable or doubtful for the marquee game against the Thunder, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra qualified Wade’s status as ‘hopeful.’ ‘We want to be very smart about it right now and take the next 24 hours to try and do some treatment,’ he said. ‘We’ll reevaluate him [Wednesday] and hopefully he’ll improve.’ […] Wade has missed 10 games this season because of foot, ankle and knee injuries. With the playoffs less than a month away, the Heat is being overly cautious with its 30-year-old All-Star shooting guard.”
