Michael Redd Is Absolutely Exhausted … from Sitting on the Bench

by Marcel Mutoni

China and Wisconsin are far apart. This, Michael Redd, found out the hard way.

Not only was he made to travel an unfathomable distance, but the poor guy had to comfortably sit on the bench for two whole weeks while his fellow Redeem Teamers worked extremely hard to bring the Gold Medal back home.

All of that flying in chartered jets, sleeping in luxury hotels, and having the best seat in the house for some Olympic hoops has drained the energy from Michael’s body and soul.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel brings us his tale of fatigue and woe:

“The body took a lot of wear and tear, no question about it,” Redd said. “We’ll see how it goes, and we’ll figure it out.”

“It was draining, though. I’ve been trying to get revved up again the last few weeks.”

If Redd is tired, we probably shouldn’t expect to see the LeBrons and Kobes until sometime in February. They’ll need all the time they can get to recover from the summer.
