Pelicans Sign Solomon Hill To 4-Year, $52 Million Deal

After a disappointing 2015-16 campaign, the Pelicans have a big summer ahead of them.

The franchise made their first free-agent signing of the offseason by inking Solomon Hill to a four-year, $52 million fully guaranteed pact.

New Orleans was reportedly very high on the 25-year-old wing. Marc Stein of ESPN reports that the Pelicans “want to slot him in as their new two-way small forward.”

Hill, in his third NBA season last year, saw only 14.7 minutes per game in the regular season, but saw his playing time go up to 28.3 minutes per game in the Playoffs against Toronto.
