Player of the D.A.Y.

By Sam Rubenstein

There really isn’t an obvious one today. Tyronn Lue won the game for Atlanta, but Joe Johnson got them there. The Pistons and Raptors each had a handful of winning contributions in their games. I thought about splitting it between the Raptors PGs, but that would take away from what Bosh did.

So, the Player of the D.A.Y. is Joe Johnson. Snubbed from the All-Star team, he went up against a team that had two all-stars and was the best player on the floor. 49 minutes, 12 of 23 shooting including 4 of 6 from three on his way to 37 and 8. So what if Lue hit the game winner.
