Player of the D.A.Y.

60 points by one NBA player is not normal. Even against Toney Barone and the Memphis Grizzlies. Even if we look past the 65 followed by the 50 and just treat this as a stand alone game. Kobe is making the Player of the D.A.Y. very redundant. The numbers from last night were 20 of 37 from the field, 3 of 7 from three, 17 of 18 from the line, with 4 assists and 5 rebounds.

Okay, I can’t resist looking at the past three games as a body of work. Here’s a screen shot borrowed from yahoo.

There’s other stuff going on, you know. Amare had 33 and 21 against the Kings. Luol Deng had a big game against Denver. Ohio State walked along the razor’s edge again.

Kobe has put all of that on the back burner.
