Post Up: Can’t Lose

Warriors 131 (23-0), Pacers 123 (12-8)

The streak continues! Tonight was the Klay Thompson show at the Fieldhouse. The sharpshooter dropped 39 points and hit 10 threes (although he also sprained his right ankle). Indiana fought back in the 4th quarter, but it’s hard to win when you give up 131 points. Paul George had 33 and 8 boards in the losing effort.

Cavaliers 105 (14-7), Trailblazers 100 (9-14)

Cleveland trailed by 9 at the half but finished the game strong. The King had another double-double (33 points and 10 rebounds) and Love added 18 points. Dame had 33 for Portland.

Nets 110 (6-15), Rockets 105 (10-12)

What’s up with the Rockets? Despite 32 points from Marcus Thornton (and one crazy crossover), the Rockets suffered another loss in Brooklyn. Trevor Ariza left the game in the first quarter with a bruised back. Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, and Thad Young all scored 20+ for the Nets. Oh, and there were a few posters in this contest.

Thunder 125 (13-8), Grizzlies 88 (12-10)

OKC ran away with this one in the third quarter, outscoring Memphis 39-16. Durant had 32 points and 10 rebounds, and Russ had 13 points and 16 assists. Chalmers finished with 19 for the Grizz.

Magic 85 (12-9), Nuggets 74 (8-14)

It was a low scoring affair in Denver, with the Magic prevailing in the end. Vucevic posted a double-double (18 points and 13 boards) for Orlando, and Barton had 23 points off the bench for the Nuggets.

Kings 114 (8-15), Jazz 106 (9-10)

It was a vintage Rajon Rondo night, with the point guard recording 17 points, 13 assists, and 7 rebounds. Cousins contributed 23 points and 12 boards as well. Six players scored in double figures for the Jazz, but it wasn’t enough.
