Quincy Acy Signs Two-Year Deal With the Mavs

Free agent forward Quincy Acy has come to terms with the Dallas Mavericks on a reported two-year deal for the minimum salary.

The Mavs are also said to be in talks with Rodrigue Beaubois about a possible return to the team.

Acy, 25, averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 59 games with the Sacramento Kings last season.

Per ESPN:

The deal with Acy does not include any options for the second season.

Acy, 25, a Baylor product and native of Dallas suburb Mesquite, is a four-year veteran with career averages of 4.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in limited roles with the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings.

He fits the Mavs’ philosophical shift of filling out their roster with developmental prospects instead of the older veterans they often signed in years past.
