New York Knicks guard JR Smith is very confident in his team’s chances next season. All Brooklyn Nets forward Reggie Evans can do at this point, is laugh. The Nets/Knicks war of words rages on. Per the Star-Ledger: “Evans was responding to a tweet from the @NBARUMORS handle, which had posted a link and a brief headline: ‘Knicks will NBA championship this year (sic), according to J.R. Smith.’ The prediction was made by Smith at his charity golf clinic on the Chelsea Piers. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, children were allowed to ask questions and one of them wondered if Smith believed the Knicks would end their 40-year championship drought this season, to which the Freehold, NJ native replied, ‘I’m 100 percent sure.’”
