Report: Andre Miller to Join San Antonio Spurs

Andre Miller recently agreed to a buyout from the Minnesota Timberwolves to become a free agent, and now he’s joining the Spurs, according to a report. The Spurs also reportedly have their eyes on Miller’s former Wolves teammate Kevin Martin, should he become available.

Here’s more on Miller—who will become the oldest player on San Antonio’s roster, replacing Tim Duncan for that label—from Shams Charania of The Vertical:

Free-agent guard Andre Miller has reached an agreement to sign with the San Antonio Spurs for the remainder of the season, league sources told The Vertical.

Miller cleared waivers on Saturday after reaching a contract buyout with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Once Miller passes his physical, the Spurs will waive guard Ray McCallum, league sources said. The Spurs acquired McCallum in an offseason trade with Sacramento.

Miller, 39, will be eligible for the playoffs because his buyout was completed before the March 1 deadline for waived players.
