Report: Draymond Green Arrested for Assault

According to a report out of Michigan, Draymond Green was arrested for assault Sunday in East Lansing.

USA Basketball says they’re looking into the alleged incident.

Per MLive:

“The police department is not confirming any arrest with that name,” said Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth, the East Lansing police department Public Information Officer. “What I can confirm is that we did arrest a current NBA basketball player this weekend and he was arrested for assault. That’s all we’re confirming right now.”

Green has 10 days to return to East Lansing and be arraigned on the charge in the city’s attorney office. His arrest report is not yet available online. […] Green, 26, did not immediately return a call and message for comment on Monday morning.

Coming off the finest season of his four-year NBA career, Green averaged 14.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 34.7 minutes per game in 2015-16. He helped lead the Warriors to an appearance in the NBA Finals, while making headlines for some physical play along the way, including an altercation with LeBron James that led to his suspension in Game 5 of the championship series.
