With a win last night in his old stomping grounds of Sacramento, Houston Rockets Head Coach Rick Adelman joined an exclusive club.
Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle:
Rick Adelman moved into a tie with Dick Motta for 10th in all-time coaching wins. Among the members of that exclusive club, only Phil Jackson and Red Auerbach have a better winning percentage. (And for those that for some reason want to point out that nearly 400 of those wins came with Sacramento, Adelman has a better winning percentage as Rockets coach than any coach in franchise history.)
Was it any more special tying Motta at the place he once called home?

He is four wins away from passing the great Red Auerbach, who finished his 19-year coaching career with 938 victories.
