Rockets Trade Jermaine Taylor To Kings

Sacramento will receive second-year guard Jermaine Taylor for as close as ‘free’ can get in the NBA. From Sactown Royalty: “The Kings have announced that the trade for 6-4 guard Jermaine Taylor is official. Sacramento sent a “heavily protected” second-round pick to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Taylor and cash considerations. Taylor is due to make $780,871 this season. […] It’s unclear how much cash the Rockets sent the Kings. The Rockets likely at least covered Taylor’s salary and paid a ‘fee’ for Sacramento’s help in freeing up a roster spot. The Rockets used that spot to pick up 2009 lottery pick Terrence Williams. The Nets shipped Williams out in a three-way trade with the Lakers and Rockets in order to get two more first-round picks, assumed to be part of New Jersey’s offer for Carmelo Anthony.”
