Rodney Stuckey is Doing OK

One of the scariest moments of the season occured this past Friday night. During the third quarter of a Pistons-Cavs game in Cleveland, Rodney Stuckey collapsed. Occuring a day after the 20th anniversary of Hank Gathers’ death, it was a disturbing scene. Thankfully, everything seems to be OK with Stuckey, though.

As the Detroit News reports:

I’m good, everything is good,” said Stuckey, who is questionable for Wednesday’s game against Utah. “They ran a lot of tests on me and everything came back good. I’m just taking it day by day.”

Stuckey said he remembers walking back to the bench Friday and gradually feeling weak. He said he felt fortunate the Pistons’ training staff was close by.

Stuckey doesn’t know when he’ll return to the basketball court.

“When the doctors tell me I’m right to play, I’ll be ready to play,” Stuckey said. “It’s my job.”
