The San Antonio Spurs will rock fresh, new threads at their Oct. 30 home-opener against the visiting Brooklyn Nets.

The team unveiled their “Black Signature” alternate duds Thursday.

The new jerseys will be worn throughout the season, alongside the familiar home and road uniforms.

From the team website and the Express-News:

The San Antonio Spurs unveiled today their Black Signature Spur jerseys that will be worn during the 2015-16 NBA season. The new black alternate uniform’s efficient jersey design simply features the iconic Spurs logo prominently over the heart, while the player numbers rest on the right breast. The uniforms feature silver panels with silver, black and white trim and the accompanying shorts also include the Spur logo on each side.

The Spur logo features as the “U” on their home and road jerseys and on the popular “Los Spurs” version used during the NBA’s “Latin Nights” program, but it plays a more prominent part in this “Black Signature Spur” design, similar to their silver-gray alternate.

The new jerseys join an ever-expanding roster of designs that have become increasingly popular across the sports world due to their high marketability and ability to push merchandise sales.
