Deron Williams meanwhile racked up a season-high 31 points and 16 dimes as the Mavs moved to within a half-game of the Blazers for the 6-seed in the Western Conference standings. But this one was all about old man Dirk.

Toronto is officially just 1 game back of the No. 1 seed in the East. DeMar DeRozan led all scorers with 25 points, and the Raps fought off the Magic even after Evan Fournier drilled a three-pointer to cut the lead to 1 with 1:11 remaining.
Celtics 120 (40-30), Sixers 105 (9-61)
After four straight Ls, Boston needed this one. Six Celtics players scored in double figures, including 26 from Isaiah Thomas, and 17 + 13 rebounds from Jared Sullinger. How weird are things in Philly right now? Carl Landry led the Sixers with 26 points. Yes, Carl Landry.
Pelicans 109 (26-43), Clippers 105 (43-26)
With the big news on Sunday that Anthony Davis was being shut down for the rest of the year, this was certainly a curious result. Despite being down by 11 with 1:23 left, the Clips could have tied the game if DeAndre Jordan made his and-1 free throw with just under 30 seconds left but… he missed. The banged-up Pels got season-high scoring performances from Omer Asik (15), Dante Cunningham (19) and Tim Frazier (17).
Jazz 94 (34-36), Bucks 85 (30-40)
Rudy Gobert (12 points, 14 rebounds) and Shelvin Mack (13 points, 12 assists) posted double-doubles and despite allowing the Bucks to shoot 52 percent from the field, Utah picked up a road win. The Jazz outrebounded Milwaukee, 45-27. And sure the Bucks lost but woah, Jabari!

Kings 88 (27-41), Knicks 80 (28-43)
In the first quarter, the Knicks scored 12 points. In the fourth quarter, the Knicks scored 15 points. Hard to win an NBA game when that happens. Harder still when you’re going up against DeMarcus Cousins, who exploded for 24 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. In fairness, Robin Lopez damn near matched DMC, going for 23 and 20 himself, but with Carmelo Anthony out, he had absolutely no help. Oh, and there was also this strange-ness on the Knicks broadcast:
