Post Up: Giannis Never Stops

Cavaliers 114 (47-18), Clippers 90 (42-23)

LeBron had 27 points and the Cavs tied a season-high with 18 three-pointers as a team—five of which came from JR Smith, who finished with 17 points. Kyrie had 17 of his own, and King James looked awfully happy about it, as Cleveland buried the Clippers on their home floor.

Jazz 108 (31-35), Kings 99 (25-40)

Back from a 1-game suspension, DeMarcus Cousins broke Gordon Hayward’s ankles en route to 31 and 10, but it didn’t matter. The Jazz led from start to finish, starting with a 36-18 first quarter. Derrick Favors had 28 and 14 while Hayward scored 27 as Utah continues to make a push for a playoff spot in the West.

Hawks 104 (38-29), Pacers 75 (35-31)

In a battle between two teams jockeying for position in the Eastern Conference standings, the Hawks used a 20-0 run in the third quarter to build a huge lead over Indiana and cruise to the dub. The Pacers’ 75 points was a season-low—and also a season-best performance from Atlanta’s defense.

Bucks 109 (29-38), Nets 100 (18-48)

Giannis!!!! 28 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds—his fourth triple-double in the last 11 games. Matter fact, he had 12, 9 and 8 at halftime. After the game Jason Kidd said: “Sometimes it doesn’t look like he’s sweating, or breathing hard.” That’s the scary part. Well, that and highlights like this one:

Knicks 90 (28-40), Lakers 87 (14-53)

Laker fans—this has to be the ideal scenario, right? Play it close, look competitive, give the fans the show they paid to see (Kobe: 14 points in 27 minutes) but you know, lose the game and preserve your tanking strategy. All that said, having Jose Calderon throw in this prayer on a broken play for the win has to kinda sting, no?
