Stan Van Gundy ‘Not Entirely Optimistic’ About Re-Signing Greg Monroe

Detroit Pistons president and head coach Stan Van Gundy admits that he fears big man Greg Monroe may be lost during free agency this summer.

SVG says optimism in Motown isn’t very high about Monroe returning next season.

Van Gundy spoke to reporters Monday while previewing Thursday’s NBA draft.

The Pistons traded for forward Ersan Ilyasova earlier this month in a move that appeared to give them a potential replacement, but Van Gundy has not publicly ruled out the possibility of the 6-foot-11 Monroe returning.
