Steve Kerr Says He Has a Temper as a Head Coach

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr isn’t his usual, mild-mannered self when stalking the sidelines.

Kerr earned the first technical foul of his coaching career Wednesday night, and from the sounds of it, there could be many more in store for him.

Kerr admits that he has trouble keeping his emotions in check.

Per CSN Bay Area:

“I have a temper,” Kerr said. “And I probably shouldn’t say anything more because I already got myself in a little bit of trouble in my interview with (ESPN) in the third quarter.”

“I just want to protect our guys if I don’t feel good about what’s going on on the floor,” Kerr added. “So if I have to get some technicals, I will. I’ve got a little bit of a temper at times and it flared up.”

This is in marked contrast to former coach Mark Jackson, who during his three seasons received one technical foul –- and practically begged for it. […] Kerr said he has not been fined, but he did receive a morning phone call from the NBA office.
