The greatest NBA podcast preview in the history of October 18, 2007

By Sam Rubenstein

With Imus returning to radio, and the incendiary talking head circuit gearing up for another run at staged outrage as a form of performance art, I figured I should do my part to balance out the radio universe for the side of good. You can now here THE Sam Rubenstein on The Basketball Jones Southeast Division season preview podcast. I am no different from anyone else who asks the question “Is my voice really that high?” The answer: yes it is.

Stick around for the very end when I give two shout outs in an attempt to solidify a local market, although the podcast is broadcast globally.

The funniest thing about this whole exercise (to me) is that I did it from my parents house, hiding in the back room with a cordless land line. It was just like being in high school again. And much like a high schooler, the words I use most often are “like” and “you know.”
It opens with a Steely Dan joke that falls in the category of rambling/babbling. Okay enough self-depreciation. ENJOY!

Also on a sidenote, I got around to reading that New Yorker piece on David Simon and The Wire. Amazing article. SEASON 5 WE NEED YOU!!!
