Tim Duncan’s Knee Is Just Fine

by Marcel Mutoni

Despite crumbling to the floor in dramatic fashion Sunday night, and looking like he might’ve just taken the Spurs’ hopes of yet another dominant regular season with him, Tim Duncan has received some very good news regarding his right knee: An MRI revealed that there’s no ligament damage to the knee. He will, however, miss a few more games due to a sprained right ankle.

A sprained right ankle will keep Tim Duncan out of Wednesday’s game against Southwest Division rival Dallas and possibly more.

On a Monday afternoon in which Duncan went under an MRI machine to confirm he had not torn knee ligaments, that qualified as good news for the Spurs.

In other superstar injury news: According to head coach Mike Brown, LeBron James’s injured left index finger is more than just a bruise. Like all of us, he’s listed as day-to-day, and no one knows if he’ll be ready for tonight’s game against New Jersey.
