Tom Thibodeau Wants More Whistles for Derrick Rose

Desperate times call for desperate measures, as Tom Thibodeau turned to the media last night to deliver a not-so-subtle message to the refs with Chicago’s season now on the line. From the Palm Beach Post: “It really was my fault,’ [Derrick] Rose said. He felt his final fourth quarter jumper was on-line when he shot it, but ‘just a little short.’ And he acknowledged the challenges of trying to play against LeBron James. ‘It’s hard, where a guy who is running at top speed, can easily catch up to you,’ Rose said. ‘It’s really hard where a 6-foot-8 guy can easily defend you.’ Tom Thibodeau, however, had another theory for Rose’s struggles. ‘He hasn’t been able to get to the line like we thought he would,’ the Bulls coach said. ‘There’s a lot of contact, and he hasn’t gotten calls.’ We’ll see if that has any impact on the officiating in Game 5.”
