According to the Globe and Mail in Toronto, the Raptors are about to ship off Jason Kapono (and the $12 million left on his contract over the next two seasons) to Philly in exchange for Reggie Evans. Reggie has about $10 mil over two years left on his deal.
Bryan Colangelo said one of his goals this off-season was to make his team tougher. He just did, the Globe and Mail has learned.
According to NBA sources the team is expected to announce this afternoon a deal sending sharp-shooter Jason Kapono to the Philadelphia 76ers for bruising forward Reggie Evans.
Reggie’s now former teammate, Andre Iguodala, doesn’t sound too broken up about losing him to Toronto. He’s more than thrilled to get a shooter of Kapono’s caliber. Via AI 9’s Twitter page:
