USA Beats World, 157-154 in 2016 Rising Stars Challenge

The Rising Stars Challenge is designed to show off the League’s budding young talent, and on Friday night that’s exactly what happened. A typically high-scoring affair, the 2016 edition was won by Team USA, 157-154.

Wolves guard and prohibitive Dunk Contest favorite Zach Lavine poured in 30 points to take home MVP honors. Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis put up 30 points for the World team in the loss.

Other notable performances included Mario Hezonja’s 19 points and 10 boards, Jordan Clarkson’s 25, 5 and 5, and Emmanuel Mudiay’s 30 points and 10 dimes. Oh, and the Canadian crowd chanted “Andrew Wigg-ins!” and “MVP” as Wiggy (29 points) went to the foul line in the final minute.

All things considered, who impressed you in the Rising Stars Game tonight?
