WATCH: Kemba Walker Drops 34 Points on the Knicks at MSG

New York City native Kemba Walker torched the Knicks for 34 points in a critical 117-97 victory Wednesday night for the Charlotte Hornets.

Al Jefferson added 24 points in a “must-win” game for the Hornets.

Charlotte is battling for homecourt advantage in the first round of the Playoffs.

Per the AP:

Charlotte, which fell in Cleveland on Sunday and Toronto on Tuesday, needed a win to renew its hopes of getting home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The Hornets are a game behind fourth-place Boston and half-game back of No. 5 Miami.

“It was a must-win game,” Jefferson said. “We lost two games in a row because of, in my opinion, us, because of things we didn’t do well. We just had to get back to the basics, get back to things we do so well, the reason why we’ve been winning games this season.”

Walker made seven 3-pointers after going 4 for 16 from the floor in an 11-point night in Toronto. […] “You could tell he was disappointed with how we played yesterday and you could tell in the hotel when we were walking through before we came over,” Hornets coach Steve Clifford said.
