Worthy of Your Attention

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: A team in the Western Conference might win 50 games … and end up watching the Playoffs on television like the rest of us.

In case you’ve been stuck under a large rock, and thus have not managed to follow the League this season, that shocking scenario should give you a pretty good idea as to how insanely competitive the West has been.

The team that will have to live with the infamy of 50 wins no postseason appearance to show for it will either be the Golden State Warriors or the Denver Nuggets. And tonight, they meet up in Golden State to settle matters.

If you aren’t looking forward to this game, you should just go ahead and kill yourself right now, because you’re already dead inside.

I fully expect the Golden State crowd to reprise its role from last year’s Playoffs as the single loudest in the entire Association, setting the scene for a classic game. It would also be nice if the Nuggets showed up in a huge game for once.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going out to pick up some popcorn.
