Basketball icon Bill Walton has launched his first national online charity auction to support the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
Walton has partnered with leading charity auction site Charitybuzz.com to auction an incredible $100,000 event package that includes the chance for the winning bidder to design and host a special extravaganza with Bill at his San Diego home. The event can be anything their heart desires: a corporate outing, a family reunion, the ultimate birthday party, a huge jamfest and anything in between, with sports, music, food and more included.
Proceeds will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), an organization that recognizes the athletic greatness inherent in all people with physical challenges and provides grants for training, competition and equipment needs.

Bill Walton is best known for winning the NCAA title at UCLA before bringing Blazermania and a national championship to Portland in the 70s and playing for the Clippers and Celtics in the 80s. Bill knows how important sport is in people’s lives — and he also knows what it’s like to have that taken away after facing his own life threatening physical challenges that resulted in 36 orthopedic operations, fused ankles and a fused spine. Now that he’s been given another chance to participate in the sports he loves, Bill’s mission is to help other have this same opportunity.
