Field Set for Coaches vs. Cancer Classic

The field for one of college basketball’s biggest preseason tournaments has finally been finalized.

The Coaches vs. Center Classic, which will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 22 and 23, announced its complete field and schedule today, with Michigan State, Oklahoma, Seton Hall and Virginia Tech acting as the four regional hosts for the second rendition of the tournament.

The tournament’s preliminary rounds start on November 9, when all four of those schools play host to several mid-major schools. Two of the mid-majors, Kent State and Portland, will then host subregional rounds starting on November 21, with the tournament moving to Barclays on November 22 and 23.

From Coaches vs. Cancer Classic:

Joining Michigan State, Oklahoma, Seton Hall and Virginia Tech in the 2013 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic are Columbia, Idaho, Kent State, Niagara, North Texas, Portland, USC Upstate and Western Carolina. Kent State and Portland will serve as Sub-regional Round hosts for games played November 21-23.

TruTV, a part of the Turner Broadcasting System, will exclusively televise the four championship round games. The semifinal doubleheader featuring Oklahoma and Seton Hall will be aired at 7:00pm (ET), followed by Michigan State and Virginia Tech.  The next evening, the consolation game will be shown at 7:00pm (ET), followed by the championship game.

The following weekend, the Barclays Center will host the Barclays Center Classic, another preseason tournament featuring Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Penn State and St. John’s.
