Hoosier Basketball Back On Track?

It has been a long past few seasons for the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team. Since the horrible Kelvin Sampson debacle came to an end a few years ago, the team has been reeling. They have added some talent in the past few seasons, but there is no doubt that more is necessary and that is exactly what IU fans got this morning when they found out that 2012 wing 6-4 Ron Patterson committed to IU. Patterson is an in-state player which is a major key to rebuilding the program. “After picking up a commitment from 7-foot Peter Jurkin last week, the IU basketball coach added a pledge from Broad Ripple High School junior Ron Patterson on Sunday evening. The 6-3 Patterson is ranked No. 65 nationally by Rivals.com and considered one of the top prospects in the state’s loaded junior class. He took an unofficial visit to IU on Sunday with his family. ‘I wanted to make the decision that was best for me and my family,’ Patterson said. ‘(Indiana) is close to home and that was important.'”
