Jrue Holiday Expected To Make 2016-17 Debut Next Week

New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday is expected to return to the court no later than November 18, according to a report from Yahoo’s The Vertical.

Holiday has yet to make his debut for the Pelicans this season, having spent the past several months caring for his wife, who underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor last month, and his newborn daughter.

Presumably now with his family in good health, the 26-year-old will be called upon to help right the sinking ship in New Orleans.

More from The Vertical:

After leaving the New Orleans Pelicans for several weeks to care for his ailing wife and newborn child, point guard Jrue Holiday’s return to the team is imminent, league sources told The Vertical.

Holiday, 26, is expected to return to practice by Tuesday, league sources told The Vertical.

There are tentative plans for Holiday to return to the Pelicans’ lineup next week and likely make his season debut no later than Nov. 18 against the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources told The Vertical.
