Kaleb Tarczewski Commits to Arizona

Yet another member of SLAM’s Fresh 25 for 2012 is off the board. Seven-footer Kaleb Tarczewski popped to Arizona last night and will join Grant Jerrett, Gabe York, and Brandon Ashley in what will very likely be the best group of incoming freshman in the country. Ashley and Jerrett have similar games in that they are both faceup 4-men who can get buckets with their back to the basket but prefer facing you up and doing their damage from the outside. York is an athletic two guard with unlimited range who can put points on the board with just about anyone in the class. Mix in the best true center in the class of 2012 to what was already an outstanding recruiting class for 2011 and you see why some college hoops analysts are already penciling ‘Zona in their Final Four brackets for 2013.

Tarczewski is a remarkably fluid athlete with constantly improving post moves and the ability to finish with either hand. He’s still far from a finished product, but he’s got the potential of an NBA lottery pick in the making and will give the Wildcats the best true big man in the PAC-12. Don’t believe us? Check him out in the video above for yourself.
