Kentucky Landed Dakari Johnson Over the Weekend, Greatest Recruiting Class Ever?

Kentucky has featured the top recruiting class for the last few years now. But after receiving a verbal commitment from the top ranked center in the class of 2013 in Dakari Johnson, is it safe to say that the Wildcats’ upcoming recruiting class is the best ever? Well, the question is already being debated (here, here and here). But with Andrew Wiggins and Julius Randle still weighing their options, and both still considering Kentucky, is it too soon to forecast? From ESPN: “Senior Dakari Johnson, the No. 1 center and No. 12 overall prospect in the ESPN 100, strengthened Kentucky’s stranglehold on the top 2013 basketball recruiting class when he committed to the Wildcats on Saturday night. Johnson, a native of New York City who plays his high school ball at Montverde Academy in Florida, picked Kentucky over Georgetown and Syracuse. He said winning and the honesty of John Calipari and his staff were among the factors that tipped in Kentucky’s favor. “I just want to win a national championship,” Johnson said. “I want to win a high school championship, then a college championship and hopefully an NBA championship.”
