Kobe Bryant’s Short Film to Hit L.A. Theaters

You’ve seen the trailer, and soon you’ll be able to see the full-length mini-movie, which will run six minutes and be played in theaters throughout Los Angeles in the coming week. Details below:

Screenvision, the leading innovator in cinema advertising, announced today an exclusive deal with Nike to premiere the new six-minute concept film starring Kobe Bryant and directed by Robert Rodriguez in Los Angeles area movie theatres.

The short film, titled The Black Mamba, will tip-off as part of the featured preshow entertainment before PG13 and R rated films in Los Angeles-based Screenvision theatres on February 19, timed to the 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in which the City is playing host. The film’s exclusive Screenvision in-cinema engagement will run through February 24.

To promote Nike’s short film, Mann Theatres will be showing it at all seven of their LA theatres, including the world renowned Grauman’s Chinese starting February 19. In addition, Kobe fans and moviegoers will have the chance to win special Nike Black Mamba product at Grauman’s on February 20, with a unique giveaway promoted on Facebook and Twitter.
