Million Dollar Ballers Teams Up With Chris Herren, Project Purple

If you’re not familiar with Chris Herren’s story and his current campaign, you’re missing out on one of the more moving basketball stories that has ever been told. To celebrate Herren’s charitable efforts, Million Dollar Ballers has teamed up with Chris to bring you a dope t-shirt, with half the proceeds going directly to Project Purple.

Here is the full press release plus a picture of the tee:

Million Dollar Ballers is proud to team up with Chris Herren on a shirt for his charity, Project Purple. Herren, former Fresno State star and NBA player, was the subject of the ESPN film “Unguarded,” which chronicled his career-long battle with addiction. He is the author of the book “Basketball Junkie” and speaks to more than 50,000 children a year about his life story and the perils of addiction.

Project Purple (www.goprojectpurple.com) is a nonprofit foundation that assists individuals and families struggling with addiction. The Herren/Project Purple shirt features Herren from his Fresno State era with the addition of purple hair, representing his journey to sobriety and the charity’s slogan “Go Purple.”

Half the proceeds from the shirt are donated to Project Purple on behalf of Chris Herren. “We’re honored to collaborate with Chris in supporting Project Purple,” explains Million Dollar Ballers owner Greg Beers. “Giving back to the community is important to us and no one is more qualified on this subject to make a positive impact on the lives of kids all over the world.”
